Volunteer Board

The Order of the Arrow is powered by the continuous support and effort of countless volunteers on the local, regional, and national scale. You can learn new skills, help other leaders, or even provide guidance and insight to a youth officer through the Section G17S Volunteer Board. This board solicits Conclave Vice-Chief (CVC) applications as well as year-round Communications Committee applications for youth and advisers.

Conclave Vice-Chiefs

Conclave Vice-Chief of Training

Responsible for planning and conducting training sessions offered to Arrowmen at Conclave. Includes working with other CVCs and recruiting other trainers to help execute sessions. 

Conclave Vice-Chief of Special Events

Execute endeavors to conduct scheduled events that fall outside of Training, ARC, and Shows. This could include Vigil Rededication, a Brotherhood Ceremony, Crackerbarrel, and a Scouts’ Own.

Conclave Vice-Chief of Site

Assist other CVC’s with the Conclave Site in any endeavors to assist the COC and CVC’s with their plans to utilize the chosen Conclave site. Plans for needed resources (on-site or off-site) and provides a map with locations of events, camping, restrooms, medical, parking, how to get there, etc.

Conclave Vice-Chief of Shows

Responsible for producing entertaining and inspiring shows for Friday and Saturday evening during Conclave. This includes securing needed elements (such as guest speakers, special props, theme videos, etc.), developing a budget, prepping the shows site(s), setting up shows, and executing them.

Conclave Vice-Chief of Administration

Responsible for general administrative duties prior to and during Conclave, including developing and executing a registration procedure & creating the Conclave informational booklet.

Section Communications Committee

Videography Team Member

The Videography Team is responsible for the coordination, shooting, and editing of short or long-form video content to be distributed on the section’s social media accounts (YouTube, TikTok, Instagram Reels, etc.). Arrowmen will have the freedom to coordinate different schedules on each platform, as well as what is in the video content so long as it is approved by the presiding Section Secretary.

Web Team Member

The Web Team oversees the upkeep and administration of the Section Web Presence, inclusive of facilitating document file transfer from internal sources to the Section website to be displayed as PDFs and simple page management to ensure the Site is kept updated regularly throughout the year. Arrowmen will have the freedom to suggest new site layouts, make clerical edits, and work on major projects as a part of a team.

Graphic Design Team Member

The Graphics Design Team enables other teams on the Section Communications Committee to perform necessary functions by creating supporting graphics, developing a concise Section Brand, and, if needed, generating content for the section’s social media accounts. Team members have the freedom to develop graphics independently through the Section Canva Pro workspace.

Social Media Team Member

The Social Media Team oversees the coordination and dissemination of content via the section’s social media accounts. Team members spend time recommending and assisting in developing posts or marketing initiatives for Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok. Arrowmen will be free to recommend special highlight posts or choose source material that is relevant to the current posting schedule.

Written Content Team Member

The Written Content Team oversees the bi-monthly or monthly section eNews publications and other special projects. Team members spend time researching and writing articles for the section website and email campaigns. Arrowmen will have the freedom to write about what interests them and meet outstanding Scouts from around the section.
