Responsible for planning and conducting training sessions offered to Arrowmen at Conclave. Includes working with other CVCs and recruiting other trainers to help execute sessions.
Detailed Responsibilities
- Communicate regularly with the Training Adviser (via phone, text, email, etc.) to keep track of and meet goals, discuss challenges, and find solutions. Promptly communicate with section officers if there are any problems.
- Attend monthly check-in meetings with the Section Vice Chief and/or other officers.
- Produce a dated calendar and plan with goals and objectives that will ensure you meet the key dates set forth by the COC (see below). Be proactive in trying to meet these components in a timely manner.
- Develop a budget to use your allocated funds. Do not exceed your budget.
- Develop a training catalog. This should include a training schedule and the time, location, cost, and content of each session.
- Write promotional pieces that needed to be included on the section website for event registration, section newsletters, and flyers. These pieces should contain accurate and interest-building descriptions and highlight your training sessions in a timely manner.
- Develop criteria for training evaluations and a procedure for gathering data.
- Work with the CVC of Administration to develop the Training section of the Conclave Booklet. This should include your schedule and brief descriptions of your training sessions.
- Work with the CVC of Site to request any onsite resources that you may need to run your event by the indicated deadline.
- Work with the CVC of Trading Post and Auctions to sell tickets for any training sessions that may include an additional cost.
- Work to recruit other trainers that will be needed to run your events.
- Place all Training planning documents into the Training folder of the Section Google Drive. This will be an essential resource for your successor.
Submit an evaluation on Training activities to the section within 30 days of the conclusion of the 2025 Conclave
